Priority WeaselWorks Support

WeaselWorks Pro comes with priority WeaselWorks support by email. Your Pro license comes with details of how to reach us.

Before You Ask

These quick fixes answer the most common WeaselWorks support questions. Most problems come down to a cache, an email setting or a missing member, so check these first.

Something looks out of date after an update

Clear your host's cache (for example WP Engine's) and any caching plugin, then hard-refresh your browser with Ctrl+Shift+R (Cmd+Shift+R on a Mac).

Notification emails aren't arriving

Go to WeaselWorks › Organization Settings and use Test Email. If it doesn't arrive, set up an email plugin such as WP Mail SMTP so your site can send email reliably.

Someone can't see their Workspace

Check two things in WP Admin: that their WordPress role is ticked under Organization Settings › Access, and that they're on the Workspace's Members tab.

WeaselWorks feels slow

Run the Speed Check in WeaselWorks › Organization Settings. It tells you whether the slowness comes from your server or the connection, with the numbers to share with your host.

The sign-in page goes to the WordPress login

That's on purpose. When a security or two-factor plugin is active, WeaselWorks steps aside and uses the normal WordPress login, so your site's protection keeps working.

A task or Board was deleted by mistake

Open Trash in the sidebar. Deleted tasks, buckets and Boards stay there for 30 days and can be restored with everything they held.

File Protection says Not Fully Private

Files still work, but right now anyone who has a file's link could open it without signing in. If your team shares everyday files, the risk is small. If you handle private or confidential files, fix it first; it takes about five minutes. Copy the folder's address from the File Protection card, then block it in your hosting account (look for Web Rules, Access Rules or Blocked Paths), or send your host the ready-made message WeaselWorks gives you. Then click Check Again until it says Private. Don't need it? Click × on the reminder to hide it. Keeping Attached Files Private ›

Files can't be added to a task

Files can only be added to tasks on Group Boards. Personal Boards are just for you, so they don't take files. Move the task to a Group Board to attach files.
