Someone Can’t See Their Workspace

Weasel in a Hard Hat Holding Building Plans

WeaselWorks Workspace access needs two things for everyone except administrators: the person's WordPress role must be allowed to use WeaselWorks, and they must be a member of the Workspace. If either is missing, they see a friendly "no access" message instead. WordPress administrators can always open every Workspace, even ones they aren't a member of.

In short: check WeaselWorks › Organization Settings › Access, then the Workspace's Members tab.

Four Checks for WeaselWorks Workspace Access

  1. Their role is allowed. Under Access, make sure their WordPress role is ticked. If no roles are ticked, everyone may use WeaselWorks.
  2. They are a member. On the Workspace's Members tab, add them if they aren't listed.
  3. The Workspace is active. Confirm its status is Active (not Suspended) on its Settings tab.
  4. They have signed in. Check the Account column. If their link expired, they can open it anyway and choose Send Me a New Link, or you can click Resend.

Tip: people added through Add People get the WeaselWorks role, which is ticked under Access for you.

One Workspace in WeaselWorks Free

WeaselWorks Free opens one Workspace. If your site has more than one, the others are kept safely for WeaselWorks Pro and show a short note instead of the Boards. See Compare Free and Pro.

The Entry Page

Share your WeaselWorks entry page with your team. It signs people in and sends them straight to their Workspace. You'll find its address under Organization Settings › Entry Page. WordPress explains roles in its roles and capabilities guide.
