If something looks old after a WeaselWorks update, a cache is almost always the reason. Your host, a caching plugin or your browser is still showing the previous version of WeaselWorks' files.
In short: clear your host's cache, clear any caching plugin, then hard-refresh your browser with Ctrl+Shift+R (Cmd+Shift+R on a Mac).
Fix a WeaselWorks Update That Looks Old
- Clear your host's cache. Many hosts have a "Purge cache" or "Clear cache" button in their control panel or in the WordPress toolbar.
- Clear your caching plugin. For example, use Purge All in LiteSpeed Cache or Clear Cache in your caching plugin of choice.
- Hard-refresh your browser on the WeaselWorks page with Ctrl+Shift+R, or Cmd+Shift+R on a Mac.
Tip: ask your team to hard-refresh too. Each person's browser keeps its own copy of the old files.
Still Seeing the Old Version?
- Check the version badge in the WeaselWorks header in WP Admin, or under Plugins in WordPress, to confirm the update went in. The version also shows at the bottom of the app's sidebar, unless a Pro site has switched that footer off.
- If your site uses a CDN, purge it as well.
- Try a private or incognito window, which starts without any cached files.
Google explains how to clear the Chrome cache if a hard refresh isn't enough. For how updates work, see Installing WeaselWorks.
Watch out: always back up your site before a WeaselWorks update. Your Boards and tasks are kept during an update, but a backup is the safest habit with any plugin.
