Weasel in a Hard Hat Holding Building Plans

A WeaselWorks Workspace is a team area with its own people, Boards and page on your website. Most teams start with one Workspace, such as "Marketing" or "Office", and add Boards inside it for each project.

In short: go to WeaselWorks › Workspaces, add a Workspace, then open it to set its fields and members. WeaselWorks creates the Workspace's page for you.

Create a WeaselWorks Workspace

  1. Add it. In WeaselWorks › Workspaces, add a Workspace and give it a name and description.
  2. Check its settings. On the Settings tab, in General, set Group Boards (Max): 1 to 10, 5 by default.
  3. Pick your fields. On the Settings tab, in Task Fields, switch Start Date, Due Date, Launch Date and Labels on or off.
  4. Add your team. On the Members tab, click Add People. See Inviting People to WeaselWorks.
  5. Open it. Visit the Workspace's page, or share your WeaselWorks entry page.

Tip: each new Workspace starts with a Getting Started Board, an Example Bucket and a Welcome to WeaselWorks task with quick tips. It's ordinary data, so rename or delete it whenever you like.

What's Inside a Workspace

  • Group Boards are shared with everyone in the Workspace.
  • Personal Boards are private, up to two per person.
  • Buckets group tasks on a Board, like sections.
  • Archive and Trash keep finished and deleted work out of the way.

Included in Free

  • One Workspace
  • Up to 10 Group Boards
  • The six standard task statuses
  • Table, Kanban and Charts tiles

Added by Pro

  • As many Workspaces as you need
  • Rename statuses and add up to two more
  • Timeline and Calendar
  • A logo for each Workspace

Each Workspace gets its own managed page. If you prefer your own page, place the shortcode [weaselworks workspace="ID"] on it instead, where ID is the Workspace's number, shown in the Frontend Page card on its Settings tab. WordPress explains shortcodes in its shortcode guide. See Compare Free and Pro for everything each plan includes.

Common Questions

Can someone belong to more than one Workspace?

Yes, with WeaselWorks Pro. A person in several Workspaces switches between them from the Workspace name at the top of the app.

Can I pause a Workspace?

Yes. Set its status to Suspended on its Settings tab. Its work is kept, and you can make it active again at any time.
